NOTE: This role is hybrid and requires 3 days a week in our Walnut Creek, CA office.

Job Summary:
Reporting to the Senior Director, Social Impact and Advocacy, the Social Impact and Advocacy Lead will support the AAA social impact and advocacy programs and related stakeholder engagement. The Lead drives the organization’s social impact and advocacy programs, helping to invest in our local communities, engage our employees and strengthen our brand reputation.

Responsibilities:

Program Leadership
  • Lead all aspects of at least one signature program within the social impact and advocacy strategy with an eye toward creating shared value.
  • Execute strategies to achieve annual and long-term program goals.
  • Lead updates and activities for the internal network of Community Champions to leverage time and talent of Team Members.
  • Develop and oversee detailed project plans and manage the project lifecycle including analysis, planning, progress tracking, implementation, and training.
  • Manage the measurement of social impact to ensure progress toward annual and long-term goals.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with nonprofit partners and industry influencers.

Operational Effectiveness
  • Maintain strong social impact or corporate responsibility knowledge, reporting methods, and expertise to contribute to programs and strategies.
  • Manage goals, metrics and processes in order to measure and achieve goals.
  • Execute specific project management and day-to-day operations for programs to ensure they are successfully integrated organization-wide.

Stakeholder Engagement
  • Lead programs that equally engage stakeholders across multiple geographies, various levels, and multiple functions.
  • Create and enhance external relationships with nonprofits, program partners, cause experts, and other key influencers.
  • Provide monthly and quarterly progress and metric updates to Senior Director and senior leaders.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Public Relations and Corporate Communications teams to deliver compelling stories and assets.

Knowledge and Skills:
  • Bachelor degree or advanced degree.
  • 10+ years working within a corporate foundation, corporate social responsibility, or social impact function.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with a proven track record of delivering work on time and on budget.
  • Detail-oriented, with an ability to achieve flawless execution.
  • Collaborative work style and ability to achieve results across disciplines and levels, internally and externally.
  • Experience working within a for-profit, corporate philanthropic or social impact environment.
  • Experience leading social impact programs, strategies, and projects.
  • Comfort managing multiple workstreams simultaneously, and ability to prioritize effectively.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and drive results as an individual contributor.
  • Demonstrate sound judgment and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to create momentum and influence change.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation and professional speaking skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, Google Suite, and experience with database management preferred.
We target between minimum and midpoint of the range, and all offers are subject to a fair pay analysis - Compensation Range: Min: $129,223.00 - Mid: $161,528.00- Max: $193,834.00
