The Manager, Marketing Data position will have ownership and management of the sources, processes, and orchestration of Marketing data for the club. This role is critical in maintaining and improving the quality, integrity, and usability of our marketing department’s data assets. Supports corporate/business unit policies and procedures in a centralized model. Supports identification of business needs, determining solutions to business problems. Leads and manages a staff of professionals responsible for Member segmentation and database marketing.

NOTE: This role is hybrid and requires 3 days a week in our Phoenix, AZ office.

RESPONSIBILITIES / JOB DUTIES

  • Data Orchestration
    • Will orchestrate all data flow and ETL processes necessary to provide timely data solutions to the Marketing Strategic Analytics team.
    • Design and execute data quality assessments and audits to identify data anomalies, inefficiencies, inconsistencies, and inaccuracies
    • Brings expertise or identifies subject matter experts in support of multi-functional efforts in process improvement, data capture and analysis, infrastructure support, tool ownership and compliance with procedures, etc.
  • Team Management
    • Accountable for prioritization, quality of work, and impact of work produced by the Database Marketing team.
    • Leverages strong collaboration with peers in the broader Member Experience, Marketing, Analytics, and IT teams.
    • Effective communication and development of team members to enhance the impact of club's communication to Members and prospects.
  • Insights & Solutions
    • Provides/recommends and reviews solutions, short and long term strategies and actions to executive management.
    • Participates with the Director to provide meaningful insights that enable tangible improvements to business results

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Experienced in translating ambiguous business problems into clear and concise IT requirements.

EDUCATION, COMPETENCIES, CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES

  • Minimum Requirements:
    • College Degree in relevant field or equivalent experience in Analytics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Customer Segmentation, etc.
    • 7+ years of data management experience.
    • Highly proficient in SQL and have experience with BI tools (e.g. Tableau, Alteryx).
    • Strong understanding of data pipeline concepts (e.g. ETL, scripting common analysis workflows).

WORKING ENVIRONMENT / MINIMUM PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Primarily work in an office environment,, requires 3 days per week in an approved office location. Physical requirements include standing, sitting, bending and
lifting (up to 15 pounds). Approximately 98% of time is spent using a video
display terminal.
