RESPONSIBILITIES / JOB DUTIES:

  • Accurately identify and resolve intricate system failures in gasoline, diesel, and hybrid vehicles. Dispatches work and assists in managing technician productivity within the shop. Works with location manager and service advisor to ensure timely vehicle repairs by effectively managing workload and resources. Supports meeting or exceeding quality standards as measured by Qualtrics surveys. Enhance shop efficiency and overall quality of work, positively impacting the financial and operational performance of the team.
  • Identify and address training needs among technicians, providing targeted coaching and instruction. Provide valuable input during performance appraisals and disciplinary actions. Assist in recruiting, hiring, and onboarding new technicians.

  • Proficient in communicating complex ideas and instructions clearly and concisely in both oral and written formats.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues, clients and vendors.
  • Proven negotiation skills with the ability to resolved conflicts and reach mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Reliable and punctual, with the ability to work flexible hours as needed to meet business demands.
  • Dedicated to providing exceptional customer service to our members.
  • Proficient in using various software applications including word processing, browsers and email, to support daily tasks.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of equipment/tool operation and diagnostic/repair procedures.
  • Experienced in driving vehicles equipped with a manual transmission.

EDUCATION, COMPETENCIES, CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:

  • Minimum Requirements:
    • 5 years vehicle repairs and maintenance procedures
    • Valid Drivers License
    • ASE Master Tech (A1-A8)
    • ASE A-9, L1
    • Candidate must supply their own tools
  • Preferred Requirements:
    • ASE L2, L3 and X1
    • 3 + years supervisory experience in the automotive repair industry

WORKING ENVIRONMENT / MINIMUM PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Moderate walking, standing, climbing, heavy lifting (up to 50lbs), carrying, stooping, bending, kneeling, and reaching. Work outside and inside, around moving objects, and with vehicles and machinery with moving parts. Frequent exposure to dampness and humidity, toxic chemicals, exhaust fumes, gasoline, and diesel fuel.
