Job Summary
Under general supervision, our Approved Auto Repair Specialist is responsible for business consulting and contractor management activities for assigned Approved Automotive Repair (AAR) facilities of diverse scope and complexity. Uses business knowledge, industry expertise and consulting skills to understand and improve performance in imaginative ways. Has extensive customer service and interpersonal skills to drive improvements in member experience and facilitate AAR business in collaboration within the AAA MWG team . Responsible for quality assurance of contractor provided services, as well as contractor compliance with contractual obligations and standards. Responsible for resolution and escalation of member complaints and AAR issues. Works and collaborates with others in either a lead or support role as business needs demand.
Essential Functions
• Regularly monitors and reviews quantitative and qualitative contractor performance metrics in order to provide contractor feedback, offer improvement opportunities and ensure corrective action is taken when necessary.
• Gathers information from contractors to better understand their needs and identifies opportunities to help them improve their business operations by developing tailored analyses for contractors to help them understand trends in their performance and readily see opportunities to grow their business or improve operating margin.
• Shares best practices to improve contractor’s performance and operating efficiencies.
• Conducts scheduled contractor visits/inspections to ensure compliance with contracts, and Club/AAA standards and requirements for service, quality, and safety.
• Monitors and recommends technological improvements in contractor operations pertaining to shop management and customer experience.
• Collaborates with contractors to implement new marketing programs and initiatives to increase member satisfaction and improve contractor’s business.
• Support providers through distribution of AAA marketing materials, merchandising opportunities and provides contractor with ongoing reporting on results of productivity as a result of marketing process.
• Conducts investigations by gathering relevant information and data (pictures) from both members and contractors regarding complaints/claims.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
• Retail automotive industry experience; including best practices and methods in areas of business specific to towing and repair facility operations.
• Understanding and/or experience of automotive maintenance and mechanics.
• Proficient in the use and development of operational / product / financial concepts as they apply to business unit and AAA.
• Strong analytical skills to effectively identify problems and develop solutions incorporating the use of available technology.
• Understanding of AAA business strategy
Education & Experience/Licenses & Certification/Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in business or related area or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• ASE Certification a PLUS
• Must possess a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
• Prior automotive industry experience (repair, service, maintenance) preferred
WORKING ENVIRONMENT / MINIMUM PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Minimum 50% travel by car working with Approved Auto Repair facilities. This role requires our AAR Specialist to be on the road travelling 3 days a week.

We target between minimum and midpoint of the range, and all offers are subject to a fair pay analysis - Compensation Range: Min: $68,800.00 - Mid: $85,999.00- Max: $103,199.00-
